Frances Evans is a violinist, educator and creative collaborator based in the Warren Shire of western New South Wales. Passionate about connecting communities through music, she is dedicated to creating world-class artistic experiences in regional Australia that inspire, empower and unite people of all ages. Frances was recognised nationally at the 2024 APRA AMCOS Art Music Awards for Excellence in a Regional Area, celebrating her leadership and vision for regional arts practice. A highly skilled communicator, facilitator, public speaker, performer and director, she is deeply committed to nurturing rural communities through music education, equipping them with confidence, resilience, creativity and skills for life.


Frances is the director of the Symphonia Jubilate Outback Youth Orchestra and founder and conductor of the SING Warren Community Choir, an initiative of the Warren Chamber Music Festival that empowers people, encourages wellbeing and promotes better health through singing, while building friendships and strengthening social connectedness through shared music making.


Since returning to western NSW, Frances has collaborated with Australian violinist Peter Clark, Musica Viva Australia, Katie Noonan and the Australian Vocal Ensemble, Kerry Morenos of Principal Organs, Australian composers Fiona Loader, Anne Cawrse and Tracy Burjan, Ensemble Offspring, the Goldner String Quartet and the New Zealand String Quartet. Through the Warren Chamber Music Festival, she has also had the privilege of working alongside many of Australia’s leading musicians and creative artists, helping bring exceptional cultural experiences to regional communities.
